Organic Garden
In 2010, the culinary program received a grant from the PTSA and donations from Bland Landscaping and Campbell Road Nursery to start an organic herb garden. Chris Randall and his team came in and landscaped phase I of the herb garden. In 2012 an Agricultural program was added to the CTE program and phase II of the garden was completed. The new Ag program planted organic vegetables to phase II of the garden. The wonderful staff at Bland came back and donated more stone to finish the other half of the garden. He also brought us asparagus and unique herbs, like chocolate and lemon mint! We have worked with the Carpentry teacher and Art department to create signs for our garden. We are very thankful to our industry partners and to the other classes who have made this project a success! Thank you for giving us the chance to work with local, organic produce in our kitchen and to truly understand the meaning of farm to table!
